2024 Peter Ronai College Bowl

Register for the 20th Annual Peter Ronai College Bowl!

An interscholastic exercise science trivia quiz competition

Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Fall Conference, "Building Bridges: Spanning the Gap Between Professional Silos."

Completed registration form with $100 fee submitted by October 11, 2024. 

WHO: Teams of three (3) undergraduate exercise science (or kinesiology, etc.) students represent their respective colleges and universities

WHAT: The Peter Ronai College Bowl is a Jeopardy-style sports medicine and exercise science quiz bowl (trivia game) played in two rounds with two separate game boards. Teams have 10 seconds to answer each question. Points are added and subtracted with correct and incorrect answers. A final Jeopardy question occurs at the end of regulation play but is optional for each team in the amount to wager. The team with the most points at the end is crowned the NEACSM College Bowl winner and also represents the NEACSM at the National ACSM Student Bowl at the ACSM Annual Meeting! The ACSM pays for the winning team of three students’ registration to the ACSM Annual Meeting and the NEACSM pays for hotel and travel expenses.

 

WHEN: President’s Reception, Thursday, October 17 at 5:15 p.m.

WHY: Registration fees help support student-oriented initiatives, events, and activities.

TO REGISTER: 

  • Complete the registration form, including the names of the three undergraduate student competitors as well as faculty representative via email to neacsm1@gmail.com on or before October 11, 2024.

  • Pay the registration fee of $100 per team via PayPal via the link below.

  • Submit a team PowerPoint slide with a picture of the three students together. The slide should also include each student's name, school name, and school logo! The slide should be submitted ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 11, 2024 to Dr. Tim Hanway at timhanway6@gmail.edu
